BYU Rhetoric. So fun.

Hello, class! This is a link to Brigham Young University's site on rhetoric. Since this is a rhetoric class, and you have to comment on some post this week, I thought I'd give you all a website to browse. You may comment on this post about anything on the posted site. Or, you can all get rockin' and rollin' and write your own posts.

Welcome to the internet; welcome to this class!

  1. The forest metaphor is nice. Rhetoric seems intimidating when you're looking at it from a distance but I am infinitely more convinced it can be successfully handled taken one step at a time. It was also very comforting to see ethos, pagos, logos and a few other familiar terms amongst the 'trees'. I have not had the opportunity to get too deep into reading it just yet but I feel like it might just become an invaluable tool through the semester.

  2. I was also very intrigued by the forest metaphor. It made me visualize what my mind may look like in the realm of rhetoric. To elaborate I'm still pondering if the forest I reside in has strong roots with not as many flowers, or too many flowers with weaker roots. Hopefully by the end of this class the forest will be in a healthy state of balance.
